Introduction
I am continuing my education after 5 years away from the classroom environment.
I chose Information Technology as a career because it is almost always a challenge and a learning experience. I appreciate what technology can do for people. A healthy respect is needed due to the trouble that can occur from too little knowledge or too high of expectations of persons who use technology.
I would like to present technology in such a way that the trainees feel what is possible. A safe and secure computing environment is also necessary. Repeatedly, I have been told that people prefer my style of training so I thought pursuing a well-rounded technology education and experience through the CSU, Northridge MA in Educational Technology.
Educational Philosophy
Life is rich and full of adventure. This is another road.
I believe everyone has talent in one or more areas. I am interested in learning styles. Also real life examples should be used to motivate the more detached or less focused individuals. I have seen through my past experience with persons of various ages that a person may change how they learn and what they respond to as they age. Sometimes this is brought about through experience and better focus on the part of the individual and other times it can be brought about by improved teaching methods or new technology tools that were not available before.
It is my plan to use practical applications as building blocks for the more difficult concepts. Concentration on assistive technologies with the purpose of keeping people vibrant, engaged and working.
