Although I haven't yet see the entire world, I have been to a few places that I think are really cool!  There's nothing quite like experiencing how others live, or or sharing in their lives with them, even if its only for a moment.  It can be exhilarating, humbling, overwhelming, serine, the best experience of your existence.  Sometimes the most memorable things are those that last only briefly. Did I mention that I hate to fly? I'll do it... but I don't like it!

My Travels (Few as they may be...)

Yosemite 1997

In 1997 I took a school trip to Yosemite, CA.  It was the best time I ever had in High School.  I'm not exactly sure why, I spent most of my time outside in below freezing temperatures, waist deep in slushy snow, but it was the most beautiful place I have ever been to.  I went with Justin and Brett and other students from our school.  We stayed in cabins that slept four, two too many for comfort, but it was the most incredible experience of my young life.  It was the first time I was away from home, I was with friends that I love, and I was meeting new people and making new friends and experiencing one of the most beautiful creations on this earth.  Below are some of the pictures that I took while I was there. 

  

 

I have also spent time in the south.  In 1999 my family, with the company of Matt, took a trip to Orlando, FL, where we visited the Disneyworld theme parks. We then traveled to Apalachicola, FL, where we stayed ON the Gulf of Mexico in a floating dock hotel. From there we traveled through Alabama, stopping in Mobile to eat at a Waffle House and then onto Biloxi, MI to stay at the Grand Casino.  After a few days in Biloxi we drove to New Orleans, LA!  We stayed a block above Bourbon St.  in an old bordello, now called the Dauphine Orleans. In Louisiana I took a tour of the Bayous, visited Preservation Hall, the above ground gravesites, and many historical sites (pictures to be added at a later time). 

I have also been to Washington state, Mexico, Reno NV, San Francisco CA, Sacramento CA, Las Vegas NV, Overton NV, and soon Hawaii!  (pictures to be added soon!)
