Professional Information

My classroom experience began as a Los Angeles Teaching Fellow in 2003. This program recruited midcareer professionals to high need classrooms and gave us intensive training and support. I took CSET certification in Science and Multiple Subjects and taught middle school science.

One year after that I began teaching middle school science and humanities at New Heights Prep, an academic cousin to the Crossroads School of Santa Monica.

I also do professional live audio, background acting, commercials and theater.

Introduction

This web site has grown from my Masters in Educational Technology at CSUN. The content is my work but the structure and harmony come from what our cohort has learned in the program.

Educational Philosophy

I am a leader of students making their own discoveries. At its best, my job consists of discovering their prior knowledge, how they think and how to link them to new knowledge. Almost all students can discover the excitement of learning, of linking their passions to the larger world.

I am also an educational experimenter, developer and change agent. More statements of purpose.
