The Internet and its role as the backbone of the information superhighway is changing the way a
growing percentage of the public communicates, gathers information for research and personal growth,
and relaxes. Methods for accessing computer based information on the Internet will be explored and
the social implications of the existence of the information highway will be studied.
The course meets twice a week; each session lasting one and three quarters hours. The class lecture
and lab components will
be integrated together both in content and presentation.
