INTRODUCTION

Every golfer wonders about how or if altitude affects the height of the bounce of their golf ball. Many golfers flock to Colorodo and other areas of higher altitudes in hopes of longer distance. My science project proves whether these golfers are really actually gaining distance.

What golfer doesn't want more distance? Having your ball roll more never hurt you. This is the reason why I chose this topic for my project.

My project relates to the general study of elasticity and collision because it tests to see how the collision between the ball and the ground is affected by the altitude at which the collision occurs. This relates to the general field of collision because my project shows more about the relationship beween collisions and altitude with a ball. This information could be used with testing vehicles at higher altitudes, parachuters and the percentage of chance they have at hurting themselves at higher altitudes as opposed to lower altitudes, etc.
