The purpose of the investigation is to determine whether the risk should be taken on for the knee surgery. The hypothesis is that the freeze-dried meniscus will be just as efficient as the controlled meniscus. The controlled meniscus will be kept in an oven at blood temperature, at 98.7 degrees. The frozen meniscus will be kept in a cooler filled with dried ice These two menisci will be attached to the model bone and the top bone, simulating the femur, will come down with a weight attached. After each interval of impact, each meniscus will be looked at under the microscope to report any damage. This investigation is to determine the effectiveness that the meniscus will have once it is allografted into the knee.
