Work
with a partner and use a digital camera to take pictures of yourselves.
Please ask for assistance so that you know how to take the pictures.
You can use a tripod if you wish.
Launch
iPhoto and connect the camera to your computer via USB; View
iPhoto's Photo
Library in Organize mode (Organize button). iPhoto should detect
the camera automatically when you turn on the camera. Click the
Import button to upload the images into the Photo Library. Please
ask for assistance if the camera does not connect. Save your
images
(drag icons from the Photo Library to your disk) in a folder called
digital_camera on your disk. Name the files
with no caps or
spaces ("yourname_photo.jpeg").
Touch
up using clone, dodge, burn, smudge, blur, and airbrush. Adjust
levels and crop your photographs. Save the files
in jpg format in a folder called digital_camera on your
disk. Name the files with no caps or spaces ("yourname_touchup.jpeg").
DO NOT COMPRESS THE PHOTOS!!!
Resample
the image as approximately 4x5 inches, 600 dpi resolution and
save it on your disk in a folder called digital_camera on
your disk. Name the files
with no caps or spaces ("yourname_print.jpeg").
Try
printing your print with glossy paper on an inkjet printer!
All
3 of your photograph files should be in the same folder (digital_camera)
on your disk
when you are finished.
Submit
the folder on data CD
