Activity 4:  Dieting and weight loss

Food Type Serving Size kCal
white rice g 1 cup 44
duck p 1/2 duck 27
raisins fr 1 cup 71
apple pie bg 1 slice 3
beef burrito mx 1 ea 165

The first three foods are initially surprising because they are typically known as "health foods". Upon closer inspection, however, it makes sense that a staple food, such as rice, would provide a good deal of energy per serving.

Liver is the only food to exceed the daily recommended amount of all vitamins in just one serving.

Activity 5:  Analyze your diet (online)

I'm surprised to see that I am pretty well within the USDA suggested areas, especially with vitamins. While the diet listed above is an average day, I'm sure that my Wednesday night snacks would change this outcome.
