Music

Music is to be encouraged. To my knowledge there are few if any popular songs

which have to do with the Work of the Graduate School of World Problems,

except perhaps "Fooled Again" by the Who, and one or two other pop songs.

(The intent of those songs was not to flatter.)

In the late 1800's, Alfred Tennyson wrote the following words to Beethoven's

"Ode to Joy":

"For I gazed into the future, far as human eye could see,

Saw the vision of the world, all the wonder that would be,

Heard the war drums throb no longer, saw the battle flags all furled,

in the Parliament of People – Federation of the World!"

Ode to Joy

Please be patient. Remember that the first minute

of "Ode to Joy" is performed moltolegere at about only 15 decibels, and may

be considered inaudible to some listeners.
