This page has information on all the systems I currently own, including when I got them, and about how many games I have for each.  If you click on the logo for each system, it will take you to Nintendo's site on that system.  I've stayed loyal to the Nintendo brand because I've found that their games are among the most enjoyable, and fits my taste better than any of their competitors.  I've also subscribed to Nintendo Power magazine since the fall of 1992 and have never thrown out a single issue.

I got this system in December 1988, when I was in 4th grade, as a Christmas present from my grandparents.  I've been hooked to video games ever since.  The system came with 3 games in one cartridge, Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, and World Class Track Meet.  Two controllers, a zapper gun, and a track pad were also included.  I currently have about 45 games for the system, including popular favorites such as Super Mario Brothers 3, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, and the Legend of Zelda.

Once again, this was another Christmas present from my grandparents.  This time, I was in 8th grade and it was the Christmas of 1992.  The system came with two controllers and Super Mario World.  I have about 20 games for this system, mostly RPGs (Role Playing Games).  This system is still well known for having so many great RPG games.  My set suffered a severe fall a few years ago when my dog ran past while a friend was playing and got tangled in the controller cable, pulling the whole system off its shelf.  There's a huge crack on the top and a hole in the outer casing.  Yet, the system still works just as well as it did the day I got it.

This system was a birthday present this time, (August 1999) from a friend.  He no longer wanted the system, and decided to give it to me.  It did not come with any games, just two controllers.  Predictably, I quickly amassed a collection of games for this system and currently have about 15 games.  This is when I first encountered virtual reality types of games where the game play was in a completely 3-dimensional environment.  It took some adjusting to get used to this kind of game play, but I've improved greatly since I first got it.

This is the first non-portable system I didn't get as a present.  I purchased it in August of 2004, along with 5 games.  It's the first system that uses a CD instead of a cartridge, which I am not used to quite yet.  I'm also not used to having to use memory cards to save my game progress on.  However, the graphics and game play of the games I have are absolutely out of this world!  However, I like the controller better than that of the Nintendo 64 because it's smaller and easier to handle.

My grandparents gave this to me in the summer of 1991.  It was great having this portable system along during vacations.  Sure helped prevent video game withdrawal!  I got a total of about 10 games for this system.  However, I have not used it at all since I got my Game Boy Advance because the Advance can play all the games from this system as well.  I've kept it anyways for nostalgia's sake.

I upgraded to the Game Boy Advance sometime in 2002.  It can run any game from all previous versions of the Game Boy.  The Advance will also slightly colorize games from the original Game Boy, which had a monochromatic display.  I've added 3 more games, so now I have about 15 games for this system.  The link feature is also awesome, I linked to my brother's Advance and played Mario Kart with him.  It was a great way to kill time while on a plane!
