Our Project
Bringing Creativity Together: Thinking Outside
the Box
Task 1:
Aim:
Each group will gather their creative genius in a collective effort to inspire
an original idea based on their collective interest. For example, if the group’s
name is “The Literature Group” we might have them create a short story as a
group. Once this instruction is given, a second instruction will be give that
every group will switch tasks. So if the literature group has to create a short
story, this creative task will be passed to another group.
Concept:
Creative individuals draw off of and are inspired by others’ creativity
Task 2:
Aim:
Each group will collectively draw upon each others’ ideas to create one thing
that would better the world. This object does not have to be physical or
material and can be ethereal (a thought, an idea). They must draw the schematic
blueprints for what they have come up with on a small poster board and present
it to the class.
Concept:
A true product of creative proportions has no physical limits, and the person
creating it should have no boundaries in his/her creation.
Task 3:
Aim:
For the final project, we will give the 4 other groups a choice of objects to
use in order to recreate the story of Thanksgiving (in light of the approaching
holiday). The “objects” can be candy wrappers, the candy itself, construction
paper, etc. We will create a public table of items for the class to choose from
to create their story on a poster board.
Concept:
Bringing it all together
