Course Overview

Learn basic, intermediate, & advanced 2D & 3D technical drawing and solid model visualization. Course presented in seven modules.
ARCHITECTURAL: In the first semester, students will learn conventional drafting techniques and standards to develop 2d working drawings for buildings and site plans. Students will use AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, & Fireworks.
MECHANICAL: In the first semester, students will learn conventional drafting techniques and standards to develop 2d technical drawings for parts and assemblies. Students will use AutoCAD, Solidworks, & Fireworks.
Continuing students will learn customization, and advanced drawing & editing. Advanced students will develop solid modeling, visualization, and presentation procedures for architectural or mechanical designs.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of computer operation and basic math skills required.
Length of Course: Two semesters or upon completion of 1200 hours
