Academic Goals

My graduate work will be an achievement of technological tools and resources for the facilitation of technical instruction. I seek to integrate both technology and dynamic pedagogy with presentation strategies for effective instruction. Upon the completion of my graduate work I plan to have the courses I teach assembled into a set of interactive web sites designed for document delivery and instructional facilitation.

Educational Philosophy

Learning is a sensory-rich experience repeated in an upward spiral. In teaching complex technical subject matter, I have found that a student's growth can only occur when there is a good conceptual foundation. To capture the student's attention I use audio visual multimedia to demonstrate solid models of architectural and mechanical design. Through hands-on and one-on-one instruction, students master best practice methods and develop workflows. Repetition and review are important building blocks in establishing mental models and require various teaching strategies. It is my commitment to provide students with patient, concise, dynamic, and integrated instruction in facilitating the development of their technological skills.
