New Status of the ISSC-GGD
The ISSC Executive Committee, at its 96th session in December 2003, Cuernavaca, Mexico, approved the granting of the status of ISSC Interdisciplinary Scientific Programme to "Gender, Globalization and Democratization" (GGD), alongside with IHDP and CROP.
This matter will go before the ISSC General Assembly at its meeting in Beijing, China in November 2004.
New Grant
Dr. Brigitte Young at Muenster University in Germany will be leading a portion of a newly funded Network of Excellence involving 45 universities. She will be heading the Gender in Political Economy (GIPE) segment within the larger Network of Excellence.
