Serving a Changing Region: Advancing as a Learning-Centered University

(working title of the Institutional Proposal and subsequent self-studies)

The WASC Steering Committee has delineated the following three themes to guide the re-accreditation process that Cal State Northridge will be undertaking during the next several years. Each of the themes has several sub-themes and a researchable question associated with it.

• Theme # 1: Student Success Through Engagement in Learning

• Theme # 2: Faculty and Staff Support for University Success

• Theme # 3: Learning as an Institution

Note:

Theme # 2 will be addressed primarily in the Capacity and Preparatory Review, which takes place about two years after the Institutional Proposal is accepted (Spring 2010).

Themes # 1 & # 3 will be addressed primarily in the Educational Effectiveness Review, which follows the first review and site visit by 1½ to 2 years (Spring 2012).
