Interview With A Creative Genius
1.How do you define creativity?
Creativity to me, is finding your artistic talent, and making it your own,
expanding on what that talent already is and adding your own flare, until you
create a style of creativity all your own.
2.Do you believe that each person has the capacity to be creative? Why?
Yes, I do believe each person can be creative...even if there is something he or
she loves to do but they arent exactly skilled at it, sometimes practice can
bring out that creativity, it may just take some time.
3.How did you find your creative niche?
I needed to express myself as a teenager, I had all of these thoughts, feelings,
and emotions running through my head and writing became a way for me to let it
all out.
4.Do you think creativity is innate or learned? Explain.
as I said before we can either have something we are good at from the begining,
an artistic talent, or if we really enjoy something, but are not so good at it ,
it can definately be learned, if the individual is truly devoted to it. Even an
artistically talented person can learn to be more creative, more experience and
knowledge and lead to greater creativity.
5.Who or what experiences have inspired your work?
Love, Abuse, Anger, Pain, Sorrow, Any emotion you can think of would cover the
stories I have gone throught that I have written poetry about.
6.Have you always wanted to do what you are doing? If not, what made you decide
to start?
Once I started writing, I never stopped. I sometimes go through spurts where I
pause, but I always push play again. I go through stages where I am so
determined to do more with my writing that it gets frustrating.
7.Does spirituality and culture play a role in your creativity? Explain.
Yes, of course, Culture sometimes plays a role, I have touched on it.
Spirituallity has defininately been a topic of mine as well(which changes as I
progress on in life through different experiences).
8.How important is education to your creative process?
It is very important, it sculpted and defined me, in order to present my
creativity, my work. which is very important.
12.Do you believe that it is important to be accepted by others as being
creative or is just doing what you love to do enough to justify your work?
Explain
It is FIRST important to do what you love, however it is a need that we as
humans have, to be accepted to be acknowledged as a talented person in whatever
we are doing.
