Queerying the Canon

WANTED: Papers which could be part of a panel titled "Queer-y-ing
the Canon" for the 20th century literature conference at U. Louisville
(KY) in February of 1996.

Specifically, I'm interested in papers which use queer theory to suggest
new ways of reading (early) 20th c. writers, or, indeed, to introduce
new writers into that canon. My own paper will present a queer theory
reading of the work of Edna St. Vincent Millay.

DETAILS, DETAILS:

Unfortunately, the Conference organizers (I'm not one) require potential
presenters to submit completed 8-10 page papers by October 2, 1995!!
Because of this deadline, I am asking people who are interested in
participating in this panel to just email me with a brief proposal
(1 paragraph) and to give me a sense of whether you could actually
write this paper by Sept. 28. I will respond to everyone by Sept. 7,
which will then give those on the panel three (+) weeks to write papers.

I am: Jo Ellen Green Kaiser, asst. prof. of English at U.Kentucky
