I am putting together a panel for the International Communications Association conference to be held in Chicago in May 1996 and am looking for 1 or 2 papers on the topic of gender, race and communication technology (i.e. video, television, computers, telephony). General topic areas appropriate to this panel would include (but are not limited to):

--contemporary and/or historical uses of communication technology
--the relationship between communication technology and the body
--the representation of communication technology in popular media
--the use of communication technology in the production of knowledge
