DTFS Page for 454 Students

This page includes links to various software components for different platforms. I've included Mac and Windows operating system components; if you have another operating system and need help finding software let me know.

Note to LYNX users of this page:

Entering a link marked "immediate download" will download the software to your home directory on your UNIX machine ("csun1" or "huey" for example) as soon as you click on it. You must then download it from your home directory to your actual machine (at home or wherever you are) before you can use the software. In order to download it to your home computer you may want to use the "sz" command in UNIX (type "sz filename" where "filename" is the name of the file you downloaded, e.g. "n32e20.exe".)

Check your communication software to see what protocol you need to transfer files in. The UNIX sz command uses ZMODEM; you may need to use the sx command (XMODEM) or the kermit command instead. Good luck!
