| How
much does Emerging Leaders cost? |

There is a one time registration fee of $25. This
fee cover most programs and socials. Small nominal fees
are charged for other events (see EL Informer). Fundraising
can help cover some or all of these additional fees. |
| What
is an Emerging Leaders Mentor? |

Emerging Leaders mentors are continuing students
who have held or currently hold leadership position
at CSUN. They are experienced student leaders and are
there to help you be successful at CSUN. |
| When
do I get my mentor? |

Mentors are assigned as soon as you register for
the program. The registration deadline is Friday, September
14th. |
| How
long is the program? |

The
program is the first 14 weeks of the fall semester.
The spring semester is optional. Students who participate
in spring will coordinate a major campus program to
be unveiled at the November 28th meeting. |
| What
do I get if I complete the program? |

Every student that completes the Emerging Leaders
program receives a certificate of completion that will
be documented on your Student Development Transcript. |
| What
is the Student Development Transcript? |

The
Student Development Transcript Program (SDTP) validates
extra-curricular experiences in the form of a developmental
transcript which may be presented as a compliment to
the academic transcript and resume. |

Whether you're a new student or a continuing student
you will or have start(ed) a new chapter in your life!
It will be filled with many questions, uncertainties
and life-long memories. The Emerging Leaders program
will help improve academic excellence, promote a healthy
lifestyle, instill the importance of community service,
teach valuable leadership skills and provide many social
opportunities to help you get the most out of your collegiate
experience. |
