CSUN Lecture to Offer Insight into
Southern California's Real Estate Trends

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., July 9, 2004) -- The current trends in Southern California's real estate market will be examined during a free lecture on Monday, July 19, at Cal State Northridge.

The presentation by Leslie Appleton-Young, vice president and chief economist for the California Association of REALTORS, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Noski Auditorium in the university's College of Business and Economics on the west side of the campus near Etiwanda Avenue and Plummer Street.

Appleton-Young oversees analysis of housing market and brokerage industry trends for the association, and is closely involved in the association's strategic planning efforts.

Her appearance is part of the Lambda Alpha International Real Estate Speakers Series presented by Northridge's Center for Real Estate in collaboration with the Los Angeles Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.

Lambda Alpha International is an honorary, non-political professional organization founded to recognize and honor men and women around the world whose achievements have contributed to the advancement of the science of land economics, to a better understanding of the principles of land economics or to the practical application of such principles in the preservation, development or better utilization of the world's land resources.

The Center for Real Estate is located in Cal State Northridge's College of Business and Economics. The center promotes the professional growth and development of faculty, students and real estate practitioners by providing a forum for the discussion of current real estate issues, providing professional and advisory services and offering educational opportunities.
