Job Fair for Alumni and Recent Graduates at CSUN
(NORTHRIDGE Calif., May 31, 2002) Now that commencement ceremonies are coming to an end, the next thing for a new college graduate to do is to look for a job.
Cal State Northridge¹s Career Center will host "Recent Grad and Alumni Fair 2002" on Wednesday, June 5 in hopes of making the job hunt a little easier for CSUN¹s newest graduates.
The fair will begin at 10 a.m. at the University Student Union (USU) in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
Alumni and recent graduates will have the opportunity to meet companies and organizations looking to hire in all majors. New Line Cinema, Downey Savings and Los Angeles County Teacher Recruitment Center are among the 68 companies and organizations scheduled to be at the fair.
Among the highlights of the day are "Senior Panic Clinics," workshops designed to help students navigate the perils of looking for work and successfully landing a job.
At 9:30 a.m., there will be a workshop on what works and what doesn¹t work when creating a resume in the Reseda Room of the USU. At the same time, there will be another workshop giving tips on how to take full advantage of a job fair in the Granada Room of the USU.
At noon, in the Reseda Room, there will be an opportunity to ask questions on what to do after attending a job fair.
