CSUN Gets High Rating for Financial Reporting
from State Controller's Office
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., July 31, 2001) ‹ Cal State Northridge was recognized for excellence in financial reporting by California's State Controller's Office for submitting accurate and timely year-end financial reports for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2000.
CSUN was presented with the Award for Achieving Excellence in Financial Reporting for the following reports: General Fund, 1996 Higher Education Capital Outlay Bond Fund and the 1998 Higher Education Capital Outlay Bond Fund.
"We've received this award for the last three or four years, and it's always nice to obtain recognition for the hard work of the group of people who put time and effort into preparing these reports," said Robert Barker, interim university controller.
California State University, Northridge has more than 29,000 full- and part-time students and offers 63 bachelor's and 51 master's degrees. Founded in 1958, it is the only four-year university in the San Fernando Valley and the third largest in the 23-campus CSU system.
