Illustration West 39 is one of the largest juried illustration competitions in the United States.

The exhibit will have works from national and international artists in categories that include advertising, entertainment, editorial, book, instructional, black and white, unpublished/self-promotional and student.

The public is invited to the opening reception from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 15. There will be an awards ceremony at 8 p.m.

The Art Galleries are located on campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge. They are open Mondays from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The galleries are closed weekends and holidays.
