'Wild Mango' to Bring World Beat
in a Free Performance at CSUN

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif.) - "Wild Mango," considered the Bay Area's best World Beat band, will bring its own brand of rhythm infused music to Cal State Northridge in a free performance at 8 p.m. in the CSUN's Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 13.

"Wild Mango's" eight members are hailed throughout the Americas for their music style that reflects inspirations from diverse sources from around the world. "Wild Mango" combines elements of Latin music and jazz peppered with Middle Eastern and Brazilian flourishes that captures the group's defiance in ignoring musical boundaries. "Wild Mango" has performed at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.; Latin festivals in Michigan, Texas and California; San Francisco jazz festivals; and concerts in Miami, Aspen and Barbados.
