CSUN Gives Community Opportunity to Cross-Examine Local County Judges

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif.) - Ever dream of switching seats with your local judge and asking him, or her, questions about why things happen?

Cal State Northridge is giving the community the chance on Wednesday, April 28, with "Cross-Examine Your Los Angeles County Judges" from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union on the east side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

It is a rare opportunity to talk to Superior Court judges from the Van Nuys and San Fernando courthouses and members of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association in an informal setting and ask questions about how the Superior Court works and various aspects of the legal system.

Admission is free. On-campus parking is available for $1.75 in Parking Lot C on Zelzah Avenue at Plummer Street.

The event is sponsored by the Los Angeles Superior Court, CSUN's Department of Political Science and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.

For more information, call (818) 677-3488.

Cal State Northridge has about 27,000 full- and part-time students, offering 48 bachelor's and 39 master's degrees. Founded in 1958, CSUN is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is the only four-year university in the San Fernando Valley.
