Nine CSUN Faculty Members to be Honored
at Reception for Achievement

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif.) - Cal State Northridge will honor nine faculty members for achievements in various areas at a reception on Thursday, May 20.

The reception will take place at 9 a.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union at the corner of Zelzah Avenue and Nordhoff Street.

Mark Raab from the Anthropology Department will receive the Outstanding Professor Award. Michael Spagna from Special Education, George Dunne from Geological Sciences, Eric Kelson from Chemistry and Herman DeBose from Sociology will receive Distinguished Teaching Awards. Rebecca Litke from the Communication Studies Department will receive the Advancement of Teaching Effectiveness Award. Jack Lopez from the English Department and Frederick Kuretski from Radio-TV-Film will receive the Creativity Award and Paul Koistinen from the History Department will receive the Scholarly Publication Award.

In addition, retiring professors and professors reaching their 25th year with the Cal State University will receive recognition for their long-term achievements.
