The "Developmentally Based Psychodynamic Treatment of Infants and Young Children workshop" will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Business Auditorium 101 on the west side of campus near Etiwanda Avenue and Plummer Street.
Veronica Thomas will demonstrate how the relationship between parent and infant can provide a powerful therapeutic tool in getting infants and young children with emotional and developmental disorders back on track.
The "Assessment and Treatment of Eating Disorders Workshop" will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Business Auditorium 101.
Marriage and family counselor Jerome J. Front will examine eating disorders through their relationship with sexuality, body-image, creativity, relationships and dissociative complications.
Affordable fees and continuing education units are offered to marriage family child counselors, licensed clinical social workers and educators who attend the sessions.
The series of workshops is approved by the California Association of Counseling and Development, the California Psychological Association Accrediting Agency and the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Workshops are designed to provide quality continuing education and training to licensed counselors, teachers, school psychologists, interns and other mental health professionals.
