Assemblywoman Sheila Kuehl to Speak at CSUN

Assemblywoman Sheila Kuehl, D-Santa Monica, will talk about the impact of gender on education on Thursday, March 13, at Cal State Northridge.

Kuehl is the keynote speaker at the second annual Reznik & Reznik Gender Equity Lecture sponsored by the university's College of Education. She is scheduled to begin speaking at 5 p.m. in the Business and Education Lecture Hall 101 at the corner of Etiwanda Avenue and Plummer Street.

Kuehl was first in the public's eye when she starred as teen-aged Zelda Gilroy on the Dobie Gillis television show. She is now speaker pro tem of the California Assembly.

She attended UCLA as an undergraduate and Harvard Law School. She has taught law at UCLA and Loyola law schools and co-founded the California Women's Law Center.

Kuehl's topic is "Policy Implications: The Impact on Gender in Education."
