CSUN Blood Drive Has Personal Focus

Hoping to help save lives, Cal State Northridge will host its Spring blood drive March 4, 5 and 6 in the University Student Union.

The drive is especially important to the CSUN community which hopes to find donors for Nancy "Lulu" Falls, Director of Space Planning and Management, who is being treated for a rare form of leukemia. Falls, who has volunteered at the American Red Cross for many years, will continue to need blood and blood products throughout her treatment.

The Red Cross is facing a severe shortage of blood at this time and can use donations of all blood types.

The blood drive will be in the University Student Union from 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on March 4, 7:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on March 5, and10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on March 6. On March 5 the blood drive will move to the Red Cross Bloodmobile in front of the University Student Union, where donations can be made from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

For more information, or to make donations specifically for Lulu Falls, contact Barbara Vallaire in the Student Health Center at (818) 677-3690.
