CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBIT AT CSUN

Cal State Northridge next month will open "All Figure: Many Media", an eclectic exhibit of contemporary art from the private collection of valley residents Gloria and Sonny Kamm.

The Kamms have collected works of art in a variety of mediums for over 20 years. While other collectors rely on consultants to tell them which pieces are valuable, the Kamms simply purchase what they like.

"We bought what we wanted to live with," Gloria says.

"Set your own rules and you'll always win," Sonny adds.

The exhibit will feature pieces created in glass, clay, wood, fiber, paint and marble by artists like Indira F. Johnson, Michael Lucero and Beverly Mayeri.

The Kamms will introduce the collection in a lecture on February 3 at 10 a.m. in the CSUN Art Gallery located in the Art Dome, ML 236, at 18111 Nordhoff Street. An opening reception will be held that evening from 7-9 p.m.

"All Figure: Many Media" will run Feb 3 - March 8. Admission is free.
