Henry Cisneros to Speak at Conference Exploring
San Fernando Valley Real Estate Trends
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Jan. 27, 2004) - Former U.S. Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros will give the keynote address next month at a conference that will explore the issues and concerns of the San Fernando Valley real estate market. The conference will be hosted by Cal State Northridge's Center for Real Estate.
The first annual "San Fernando Valley Real Estate Outlook for 2004" will take place from 7 to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City.
In addition to Cisneros, founder and chairman of Pacific CityHome - which provides capital and support to multiple-home builders with single-family projects in California - the conference will feature a special presentation by Harvey E. Green, president and CEO of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Co., the largest real estate brokerage firm in the nation.
"We hope that by bringing together some of the top players in San Fernando Valley real estate, people will get the latest information on what is happening in the Valley and a better feeling for what the future real estate market will look like," said Donald Bleich, director of Northridge's Center for Real Estate.
The conference will feature two breakout sessions with three panels each. The first session will explore emerging trends in the San Fernando Valley real estate market. The second will focus on the product Ñ multi-family dwellings, office and industrial space and retail development.
Panel moderators include Bruce Ackerman, president and CEO of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley; attorney Benjamin M. Reznik, partner with Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro; attorney Kent Mouton, partner with Kulik, Gottesman, Mouton & Siegel; Rick Entin,
principal of Entin Properties; Sanford Paris, owner of Paris Industrial Parks; and Chris Wilson, president of Wilson Commercial Real Estate.
Registration for the conference is $95 before Jan. 30, and $110 after that date.
