Solar Electric System to Power CSUN

What:

Representatives from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Southern California Gas Company (The Gas Company) and Shell Solar Industries will join Cal State Northridge officials for the dedication of one of the largest solar electric installations at a public university in California.

The $1.8 million photovoltaic project, which involves more than 3,000 solar panels, is expected to save CSUN more than $50,000 annually in energy costs while at the same time contributing to a cleaner environment. It was developed at the university through a joint partnership with LADWP and The Gas Company.
