Middle, High Schoolers to Compete in 'Clay Olympics'

What:

Middle and high schoolers from across Southern California will be gathering at Cal State Northridge to take part in the Southern California Art Education Association's Clay Day.

Designed to be a sort of "Clay Olympics" approximately 10 teams will compete in hand built and thrown ceramic events. Among the possible events are longest pulled handle, biggest pinch pot, longest continuous coil, a blindfold sculpture project, tallest thrown pots, widest thrown pot and no hands thrown pot. Winners will receive ribbons and trophies
