CSUN Conference Aims to
Change Faces in Higher Education

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Feb. 22) - Cal State Northridge officials hope to encourage students to go on and get their degrees at a special conference on Saturday, March 9.

The fourth annual Advancement to Graduate Education Conference, "Changing Faces in Higher Education," will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the University Student Union on the east side of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

The conference will feature a keynote address by renowned psychologist and UC Irvine professor Joseph White.

"This conference hopes to bring more information and resources to our participants. I feel very enthusiastic about our guest speaker, whom I met while as a graduate student. His presence will have a profound impact on the setting to our conference theme," said Cedric Hackett, the coordinator for the Advancement to Graduate Education Conference.

Among the topics to be discussed are graduate admissions process, University of California graduate admissions, graduate test preparations, law school admissions and financing your graduate education.

Tickets to the free conference are available at the Associated Students Ticket Office in the student union.
