CSUN Closes Admissions for Undergraduate Transfers
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Feb. 14, 2002) - Cal State Northridge officials announced today that they have closed admission to lower-division undergraduate transfer students for the fall 2002 semester.
Admission for the fall semester is also closed for all post-baccalaureate unclassified and second Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science applicants.
The campus will continue to accept admission applications from upper-division transfer students until March 15. The campus closed fall admissions to first-time freshmen applications last November.
"The university has received more than enough applications for these categories, and sadly we have to close admissions for them for the fall 2002 semester at this time," said Lorraine Newlon, director of CSUN's admissions and records.
Fall 2002 upper-division transfer applications received after March 15 will be processed for the spring 2003 term. Applications received from lower-division applicants, post-baccalaureate unclassified and second BA/BS applicants will be returned.
The campus remains open to applicants to Master's degree and credential programs for the fall 2002 semester.
The spring 2003 semester filing period begins Aug. 1, 2002. People with questions about admission can call CSUN's Office of Outreach and Recruitment at (818) 677-2967 or the Office of Admissions and Records at (818) 677-3700.
