The competition will take place at the university Sunday, May 13, beginning with a wheelchair race at 8 a.m. A 10K competition will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5K at 9:15 a.m. and a mother/child 1K at 10:30 a.m.
"We wanted to do something that would draw attention to the Kinesiology Major's Club as well as raise money for a good cause - the aquatic therapy center," said Melissa Gibson, a senior majoring in kinesiology and an organizer of the event.
The entry fee is $25, with the proceeds split between the student club and adaptive aquatic therapy center.
