Actor Michael Richards to Host
CSUN Student Film Showcase
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., May 7, 2001) - Actor Michael Richards will host Cal State Northridge's eleventh annual Student Film Showcase on Thursday, May 10, at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy Theatre, 5230 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood, and is free and open to the public.
The showcase highlights some of the university's top student filmmakers. Each of the movies to be screened was written, produced and directed by students under the supervision of faculty members. The projects are designed to prepare students for the world of independent film production.
Richards, who starred in NBC's Seinfeld and most recently The Michael Richards Show, will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies.
