Family Business Owners Invited to Forum on
Breaking the $15 Million Glass Ceiling

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Jan. 12, 2001) - The CSUN Family Business Center invites local family business leaders to a forum on breaking the $15 million glass ceiling on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the university.

The forum, "Breaking the Fifteen Million Dollar Glass Ceiling," will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Cal State Northridge's University Club on the southeast corner of the campus at Nordhoff Street and Zelzah Avenue.

Topics will include how to attract and maintain quality managers as well as how to be most effective when delegating tasks and responsibilities. One key issue that will be addressed is how fast a family-owned firm can grow.

Among the speakers will be Chris Nakagawa, president of Centinela Feed & Pet Supply, a second generation family-business owner himself. He will share personal strategies that have led to the success and growth of his business.

Although Family Business Center events are usually reserved for members only, this forum is free and open to the public.

CSUN's Family Business Center is the first community-focused resource of its kind in the Los Angeles area. It provides opportunities for owners of family businesses to learn not only from experts in the field, but also from each other through case studies and networking.

Membership in the center is $875 annually, and includes a variety of benefits. For more information, call (818) 677-2405.
