This seasonšs theme is "The ARTs in the HeART of the Valley."

"Over the past several years, Cal State Northridge has undergone its own transformation, becoming the premier site for experiencing the arts in the San Fernando Valley," said William Toutant, interim dean of the College of Arts, Media, and Communication. "The Spring 2001 season continues our commitment to present a tempting, provocative array of visiting artists, high quality student performances, exhibitions and special community events."

The season includes a presentation of William Shakespearešs King Lear, music from the prize-winning Jacques Thibaud String Trio from Berlin, and a performance by El Vez, the Mexican Elvis. A full listing of events is in the brochure.
