Workshop on Violence and Youth Offered at CSUN

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 13, 2000) - A workshop for therapists dealing with youth and violence will be offered by Cal State Northridge's Centers in Educational Psychology on March 18.

The session will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the university's Education Building Room 1214 on the west side of campus near Etiwanda Avenue and Plummer Street.

Marriage and family counselors Ann Schofield and Carol Hansen-Weiss will present "Violence and Our Youth." Schofield and Hansen-Weiss will talk about the experiences of youth in a violent society and offer some suggestions on how this information can be instrumental in facilitating solutions to the problem.

Workshops are designed to provide quality continuing education and training to licensed counselors, teachers, school psychologists, interns and other mental health professionals.

To register, or for more information, call Diana Castle or Heidi Kwok, program coordinators, at (818) 677-2549.
