CSUN Welcomes New Students,
Their Families to Open House 2000

The open house includes tours of the campus and an opportunity for students - first-time freshmen and transfer students - and their families to mingle with faculty, administrators, deans, staff and other students.

The participants will have an opportunity to learn about their selected academic departments and colleges, get a glimpse of a typical classroom and visit campus laboratories, the library and art gallery. They will also get a chance to meeting with student clubs, organizations and student services staff.

Along they way, they will have opportunities to ask questions about what life is like at CSUN and learn how to make the transition to the campus as easy as possible. There will be workshops for both students and parents to learn more about the university and what it has to offer.

The open house is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Matador Bookstore near the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge. Participants are directed to park in university Lots A or B on the southwest side of the campus at Darby Street and Nordhoff Avenue, and follow the signs to the bookstore.
