CSUN Invites Public to Take a Look
at the Designs of the Future

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 14, 2000) -- Cal State Northridge invites the public to take a look at what homes, offices and businesses will look like in the future at a special exhibit next week at the university.

"Design 2000: Designers of the Future" will take place March 20 through 25 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union, located in the east side of campus about 1/2 mile north of Nordhoff Street near Zelzah Avenue.

The exhibit will feature presentations by beginning and upper division design students who offer their visions of what the interiors of commercial and retail businesses and residential homes will look like in the future.

The event is sponsored by the student chapters of the American Society of Interior Design and the International Design Association. CSUN's Interior Design program is accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research.

California State University, Northridge has more than 27,000 full- and part-time students and offers 48 bachelor's and 39 master's degrees. Founded in 1958, it is the only four-year university in the San Fernando Valley.
