The forum, "Successful SUCCESSion! Family Values and Firm Value," will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in the University Club, located just off Zelzah Avenue north of Nordhoff Street. Registration and a continental breakfast are scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
"At this Thursday seminar we will focus on the human side of raising capital in addition to dealing with the technical aspects of business investments," said Daniel L. McConaughy, director of CSUN's Family Business Center. "Family firms are the family jewels and the valuation of a family firm can be emotionally difficult, especially after the death of an owner or during a sale to a family member, an employee or outsider."
The featured speaker at the June 22 forum will be Gordon Gregory, managing director and founder of the investment banking firm, Mosaic Capital, LLC in Sherman Oaks.
CSUN's Family Business Center is the first community-focused resource of its kind in the Los Angeles area. It provides an opportunity for family business owners to learn not only from experts in the field, but also from each other through case studies and networking.
Those who are interested in attending the forum or want more information about the center may call McConaughy at (818) 677-4612.
