Flag Dedication Ceremony to Also Honor Students,
Faculty, Staff Who Made a Difference at CSUN

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 10, 2000) -- Cal State Northridge honor students will present university officials with a new flag to fly over the campus' landmark library on Wednesday, March 15.

At the same time, members of the Blue Key Leadership Honor Fraternity will say "thank you" to students, faculty and staff who have "made a difference and enriched the campus."

"We're honoring them because of their dedication and commitment to the students and the things they do for the welfare of the university and the community," said Lori Judd, president of the Blue Key Honor Society.

The flag dedication and awards ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on the portico of the Oviatt Library in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

Among those being honored are Interim President Louanne Kennedy, health sciences professor Anita Slechta and student Lourdes Ceja, president of the Latino Business Association.

The Blue Key Leadership Honor Fraternity is a community service-based organization for upper division and graduate students with a 3.0 grade point average or above.
