Cultural Exchange Day Set at CSUN

(Northridge, Calif., May 17, 2000) ­- A celebration of the customs, traditions and culture of Africa will be held Saturday, May 20, at Cal State Northridge by CSUN's Pan African Studies Department and Project Community, assisted by several community organizations.

"The Village--a Cultural Exchange Day" will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will offer African music, stories, food booths and craft shops in a marketplace atmosphere presented by CSUN faculty, staff and students.

Open to the entire community, "The Village" will be held in university parking lot "T" at the corner of Lassen Street and Lindley Ave. Additional information may be obtained by calling (818) 677-3311 or visiting the website http://www.bfi-village.org.
