Sixth Annual CPR Blitz to Kick Off at CSUN

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., May 8, 2000) -- The sixth annual CPR Blitz presented by the Northridge Hospital Medical Center will kick off on Saturday, May 13, at Cal State Northridge.

This fun-filled community educational event will take place at the universityıs Matadome located on Lindley Avenue at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Volunteer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) instructors will train more than 400 people simultaneously on the basics of CPR with this yearıs focus on families. All members of the household -- 12 years and older -- are encouraged to learn this life saving skill. Spanish language and sign language interpretation will be available.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and instruction will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost for the adult/child CPR program is $20. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association programs and research.
