Workshop on How to Revive the Lost Sense of Self
in Young Adults and Adolescents Offered at CSUN

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., March 28, 2000) - A workshop on how to revive a sense of self in young adults and adolescents will be offered by Cal State Northridge's Centers in Educational Psychology on Saturday, April 8.

The session will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the university's Education Building Room 3117 on the west side of campus near Etiwanda Avenue and Plummer Street.

Marriage and family counselor Bonnie Rose will present "Helping Adolescents and Young Adults Grow and Develop into Peacefully Whole Authentic People." Walker will explore both theoretical and developmental issues to help parents, health care professionals, teachers and students find compassion, strength and strategies to tackle problems. Topics to be discussed are divorce, depression, body image, drugs and alcohol, sex and violence and community and family relationships and responsibilities.

Affordable fees and continuing education units are offered to marriage family child counselors, licensed clinical social workers and educators.

The workshops are designed to provide quality continuing education and training to licensed counselors, teachers, school psychologists, interns and other mental health professionals.
