CSUN Professor Launches Web Site to Showcase Student Artwork

Moon, who teaches graphic design at Northridge, said he came up with the idea for FreshPortfolio.com because he was frustrated trying to hook up art students and recent graduates with potential employers.

"There was really no place for them to show their work and have a lot of people come and see it," Moon said. "People from the entertainment industry and the community can visit the web site, see the work of our current students and recent graduates and see if there is someone they are interested in hiring."

Moon said the web site also provides an opportunity for art galleries and private collectors to discover new artwork by fresh, new artists.

Postings and viewing services are free of charge to artists and employers.
