Donating the Old to Make Room for the New
at the CSUN/Goodwill Holiday Donation Drive

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif.) - As you make room for the new things in your home this holiday season, think about donating and recycling the old.

Cal State Northridge's University Recycling Program can make parting with excess possessions easy and painless. CSUN will be collecting items for the annual Goodwill Holiday Donation Drive Nov. 27 through Dec. 12 at the southeast corner of Student Lot T near Lindley Avenue and Lassen Street in Northridge.

Goodwill will collect and sell the donated items to raise the funds to provide job training and vocational rehabilitation programs for participants with physical and developmental disabilities. The donation drive also provides an opportunity to help protect the environment by recycling unwanted items instead of having them dumped into overcrowded landfills.

The donation site will have an attendant on duty daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to issue receipts for tax purposes.

For more information on what can be accepted for donations, call Cyndi Signett at (818) 677-2477 ext. 241 or Goodwill Industries at (818) 782-2520.
